Rickie Huffman

Rickie Huffman is the Social Media Specialist for the West Virginia University Office of Admissions. Rickie creates content around the admissions process including: student fit, applying, special events and all other steps in the process of becoming a Mountaineer. 

Before joining the social team, Rickie worked for the WVU Office of Admissions as a Special Events Coordinator. She spent three years learning about the recruitment process and how to build events around students’ interests in choosing where to go to college. Her role in events is what led to her interest in social media and creating a more robust social presence for the Admissions office. Presenting the University on platforms where students engage with one another is the perfect way to introduce, and inform, students about the college going process and culture. 

Rickie has a bachelor's degree in Art History and a master’s in Integrated Marketing Communications. She is currently working on her Ph.D.
